Welcome to UNESCO Aruba
On behalf of the Aruba National Commission for UNESCO, I would like to welcome everyone to our website. Just like so many other organizations, now it’s our turn to have our own website. It’s a dream of some years now that finally becomes reality. At first we will be providing information in English. Although most people in Aruba speak, write and understand the English language, we feel it our commitment to give distinction to our mother tongue. That’s why soon this website will also be available in our mother tongue Papiamento. Some articles already are translated into Papiamento and posted.
Our intention is to keep everyone, our local as well as the international community informed about UNESCO activities and developments around the world and in Aruba. We are aware that this website is not complete, but slowly and surely we will be completing it.
It is our wish that many of you will visit our website and will make good use of the information it offers.
